Moonlight

(charcoal, 16” x 26”)

The consistency of sin is that it is ever changing. What was taboo in a previous era is often quite ordinary in the next.
The word “sin,” is derived from the name of a Babylonian moon deity. And like the ever-changing faces of the moon, the definition of sin transforms.

The depiction of a moon goddess is composed with elements similar to that of a ying and yang to show the juxtaposition of light and darkness.
